Some Very Important Questions
Before you start taking action toward your goal of attaining prosperity you have to make up your mind over what you actually want from your life. What are the actions that you are always keen to do? What makes you a go-getter and what takes away the liveliness from within your soul? Do you have any special desires for attaining a particular thing? When you try to get answers to these questions from yourself, many things will automatically become clear as crystal in your mind.
Know Your Weaknesses And Strengths
Once you set your goal on achieving prosperity, you should try to find your strong points and your weaknesses. Also try to know if any particular person or thing influences you. What are the things with whom you feel comfortable and what are the things that irritate you? Your spiritual practices and beliefs will also play an important role in helping you achieve your goal.
The biggest benefit of answering these questions for your self is that a picture emerges from it of what you wish to attain in your future life. So try to be as precise and true as you can while answering these questions. Chances of reaching your goal are more if you are true to yourself.
Set A Definite Time Limit
Also, bear in mind that you are not going to get anything by just setting your goal to attain prosperity. You also have to set a definite time limit for this purpose. Furthermore, visualize the success in your mind. Think about how you would feel after reaching the goal.
If you feel that all these mental exercises are not going to help you in your endeavor to get prosperity then you are wrong.
There are many successful athletes and other achievers who take help of psychologists and coaches to create the picture of success in their minds. A study conducted on basketball players indicates that those players who practice visualization produce better results than the others who only gave more time to physical practice. It is a misnomer to believe that it is possible to do time management. Time is finite and available in equal measure to everyone in this world. Still, with the same amount of time at our disposal, someone becomes Bill Gates and another person rots away in penury. Whereas it is true that there are many other factors and resources that result in such diverse outcomes, the main aspect to be considered is that one person dared to think differently and maneuvered his activities in the limited available time and another person could not adjust his activities fruitfully.
Time Management Is Activity Management
The limited amount of time in a day cannot be managed differently by different people. It is only the amount and types of activities that you do, which will make the difference to the outcome. The management of your activities is more important. So, how do we manage our activities?
Planning
The core of any successful activity is the initial planning of the same without which you are bound to stray in wilderness. Without planning, you will just be flipping from one activity to another without accomplishing any tangible results. Planning of activities in relation to time management is very important. The first step in planning your activities for a day is to set a particular goal or various goals for the day. If we analyze every letter of the word ‘Prosperity’, we will observe that it conceals within it the path to our success. This is not just a word game but also an exercise to move in the direction of prosperity. Therefore, you have to be very receptive about what every letter of the word ‘Prosperity’ and learn what it tells you. If you can do this you have a fair chance of achieving your goal of getting true prosperity.
Purpose And Reciprocity
Let us begin with the first letter in the word ‘PROSPERITY’ which is ‘P’. P stands for Purpose. You have to have a reason for what you are doing in your life. There must be a rationale for why you are doing something. So, be clear about your ideas. The next letter ‘R’ is the symbol of Reciprocity. Reciprocate for what you get and notice how marvelous your life becomes. Do more if you want more.
Originality And Synergy
The third letter in the word is O. It tells you to maintain your Originality. Uniqueness of personality is something that helps you in standing out in the crowd. Be the leader and create your own path with your originality. Do not be just a mere follower. Make maximum use of your creative skills to get the desired results. Next letter S stands for Synergy. Learn the art of working in harmony with others. Try to keep as many people involved in your team as you possibly can.
Persistence And Enthusiasm
Then follows the letter P that says you have to be Persistent to achieve ‘Prosperity’. It is not unusual to face difficulties on your path to success. However, do not think of them as barriers. Instead, take them as the opportunities to learn to improve your self. Instead of repenting over your past mistakes, try to rectify them. E stands for Enthusiasm. You should be full of zeal and execute everything with full interest and gusto. If you are passionate about your work then it gives you a command.
Receptivity And Imagination
The next two letters R and I represent Receptivity and Imagination. Receptivity means openness. This is something that makes your personality shine brighter. Moreover, you should always welcome whatever you get in return for what you have done. Imagination refers to your dreams, thoughts and ideas. It is only because of the power of imagination that even an ordinary person can produce great results.
Think And Yearning
The last two letters T and Y symbolize Think and Yearning. You can get only that you can think. So, learn to think about prosperity. Yearning or desire is essential for realization of your objective.

Most of us make the mistake of only remembering the words “economic well being” for this definition.

Then, what is the right path to reach the prosperity we all desire in our lives? For this, we all should think in spiritual terms and discard our old opinions about prosperity. Built In Niche

As an Internet Entrepreneur I am constantly looking for a Niche. That is a very specific area of expertise, of a sales market, or of a service. Professionals make me jealous. They already have a built in niche. They are already an expert in a narrow field, and in a field that most people don’t have the time to learn, or the time to figure out one little specific detail to get a task done and then forget it the next day. Maybe I should give an example.
A good painter is hard to come by. With the advent of home renovation and the flat line of the real estate market people are instead doing a lot of home renovation, and home improvement jobs. I my self have painted (inside and out) many houses in my time. In painting these houses I found out a few things. It is boring, it takes a lot of time, the detail work is really difficult to get right, and I have no idea how to pick out complement
ary colors. I really am not exaggerating. I don’t have the patients for painting. I do a great job in a square room, but give me some detail work, or some trim to paint. I am not so good.
Lets say that a good painter comes along with a little Internet savvy. If they set up a blog about painting your house, about lets say specifically painting your living room. How to set it up, tools needed, colors to choose, drop cloth placement, and all the little details about how to do this. At the bottom he or she gives a little plug about how he is a professional painter, and gives some details on how to hire him to paint.
Targeting himself in a very specific way will give credibility to him self, will begin to get a customer base of people who are renovators, or do it yourselfers, or whatever. They get a few tips, and begin to realize that they have a big project coming up and they really don’t have any idea what is going on, or how to do it. So they come to you and hire you to get their big job done. Of course they are amazed that it only takes you a couple of hours where it would take them all day, or maybe even two.
The niches are endless, and those who are already doing it are losing out not creating a website that has great information on there to make themselves look even more like a total expert.
Time Management – Saving time by working hard

Time is the most precious thing that we have. In a typical hourly job the more we work the more money we earn. But the more we work the less we have time. For me it is the time that is important. But guess what the reason that you are your own boss and you are a professional is that you have time. So take that time and use it wisely.
In setting up your blog you are going to do some work for a little while and then get paid. How you get paid will be shown through later blogs. But for today I want to talk about how you can do work now, and get paid later.
When you do work for yourself you make more money. That is the type of business you are in. Now by using the Internet you can do work once and make money over and over again. Here is how it works:
People surf the Internet at all times, morning, afternoon, night, it does not matter, you can’t possibly be doing work all that time, and I hope that you don’t want to. So by writing a good quality tip, some good quality information, or a great marketing piece that will get people to want to search you out and use your services you are essentially making money for doing work once. You only have to write the article once, and it makes money for you for months.
Why months? If you are marketing yourself right, you are continually growing your business. Through growing your business you are getting more and more clients, and more and more word of mouth spread advertising. As you reach more and more people, and more and more people talk about you they will be coming to your blog. Your blog will be always stored with WordPress, and if they like what you have to say, they will be reading your back dated blog. Your work that you did a long time ago will pay off forever, as long as you have new clients, and people coming to your site.
Your Notebook

I just wanted to write a quick tip about keeping a notebook with you. I will probably end up repeating this over and over since I really believe in this one.
You need to keep a little notebook with you at all times. This serves to have somewhere to write and record your ideas. If you have the mind of an Entrepreneur or a good businessperson you will be flooded with ideas all the time. You can’t possibly remember all the good ideas that you get so get writing, carry a little journal or notebook in your pocket all the time. Here is a picture of the one I carry
Look I am so geeky that I even labeled it Ideas.
I know that if you are a beginning entrepreneur, or if you are just getting started in expanding and growing your business you feel a little nervous about what people may think. There are two ways that they can think about this:
First they can say ‘what are you doing writing things down in that stupid notebook’. Well you know what, they are the stupid ones so don’t mind them.
Second they can say ‘Whoa what is that. A notebook for ideas, what a great idea, I should get me one of those thingys’. Now you look like the businessperson that has it all together, and you know what, you do.
Get one of these, or anything that works for you. I don’t go with the leather bound fancy pocket journal because I lose them all the time. Get what works for you.
What and When to Write

WordPress is great, you can write whatever you want whenever you want. Lets do the whenever first. By using the simple Post Timestamp on the lower right hand side of the Write Post page you can change the day that the article that you just wrote will post. This is an excellent tool. I am no English major, nor am I even a good writer. When I get inspired to write I just have to sit down and do it. I may bust out two or three articles in one sitting, then not get inspired to do so again for a week or two. Using the Post Timestamp lets me spread those articles out and seem to have a constantly updating site. What a great tool.
Now what to write. This is the hard one for most of us non writing types of people, but lets face it, even if we want to be a hermit in todays world we need to communicate a little bit with some people. If it is midnight or 1am, or in my case when I wake up at 5am there are not many people available to talk to, so we are back to writing.
I keep a notebook with me at all times. I prefer the little note pad with a spiral binding about big enough to keep in your back pocket. I also keep a “Mini Pilot G-2″ pen along with it. It is a system that works flawlessly for me. The pen hooks right onto the spiral notebook part and is always there when I need it. If I have an idea I will jot it down immediately. I am always getting ideas, some good, some bad, but they are always coming and going. I am trying to eliminate the going part. By writing down a word or two about them I can remember them when I get home.
Once I get home the geek in me comes out and I put it in a spreadsheet of ideas. I even use the strikethrough font if I have written about one. I never delete them because usually they will spark another idea for me, and the cycle continues. This way if I get in the mood to write, I will begin writing, if I have a little writers block, I open my spread sheet and away I go.
My recommendation to you is find a system, a notebook, note card, whatever works for you and use it to keep track of ideas as they pop into your head. When you get the time sit down and write a few out. Then use the Post Timestamp and forget about it. An hour worth of writing on your blog can produce weeks and weeks of articles posting right on schedule. Having articles posting on a regular schedule not only keeps people interested in your topic, but it lets the search engines and ranking tools know you have something to say thus putting your website higher and higher on the search engines.
Success – Perfection Unattainable

One of my favorite scenes of all movies all time is when Roy McAvoy is describing the golf swing in the movie Tin Cup. In the clip he says “Perfection Unattainable” (for the whole clip see below). It is true, but the journey there is what matters
“I tend to think of the golf swing as a poem…”
In your business you need to continuously strive for perfection, knowing full well that it is not going to happen. Sound counter intuitive? Maybe but it is the key to success in whatever you are doing. Set a time aside every week to ask yourself, ‘How can I do this better’? That is what you are here for right. The smart businessman knows that no matter how well business is going you can do better. So take time and concentrate on that.
Suggestions on how to do this
I get a lot of work done in the car. I like to download books on tape (not Gone With The Wind but improvement, and business books) and listen to them while I am traveling around. This always sparks interest. I guess driving has just gotten too easy (I am knocking on wood right now) and my mind wonders. If I get a good idea I pull over to the side, in a parking lot, or wherever and write it down. I always have a notepad with me for these situations. At the end of the week, usually Saturday morning, I wake up early and rewrite down all the good ideas I had that week. I then decide which one I am going to tackle that week and I go for it. Take a notepad with you where ever you go and write down ideas that come to you. Pick a very specific day and time and review them once a week. Then pick at least one and go with it.
Set aside time for you. Leisure time is the best time to recharge your internal batteries. It is a time to bring out you again. If you are working too much you need to find time to take a break and have it for you. I cannot stress this enough. I have a very hard time pulling away from my computer. I love to sit in front if it and learn, and surf, and find out what others are doing. Heck that is how I get paid, but I get stuck in the same rut all the time. I sit there and surf and surf and surf (if you have not gotten the StumbleUpon add on for your browser be careful it is addicting) and get nothing done. When I find myself in that situation I got to get out. If it is the right time I get to go out my back door onto the golf course and chip and putt. That always calms the nerves, and sooths the soul. Take time for yourself and recharge
Finally while you are working look critically at what you are doing. Look at yourself as if you were your customer or your client. What would you think if you were helping you at the time? What could you do better? What could you do different? This may be the most difficult part, but it may be the fastest way to success. If you are able to really look inside yourself and look at your business from the perspective of an outsider you can make some very simple and effective changes. Don’t be afraid to walk in the front door sometimes, and act like a customer.
Jot down what you see that you can improve upon and go for it. Don’t delay. If it does not work, fine, then do something else. Any business that is not in constant improvement is falling behind. Be the good businessperson that you are and act, improve, and make more moolah.
